The Mission

To provide values-based, low barrier, sustainable, and high-quality homeless shelters, services, and solutions.

The Only Low-Barrier Shelter in the Region

United Caring Services is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Evansville, Indiana. They are a homeless shelter and services agency that provides people in need with access to crisis stabilization services through six life-saving programs. These include: 


  • A Day Shelter (Drop-In Center) for Men, Women, and Children
  • An Additional “White/Red Flag” Emergency Shelter (During Inclement Weather)
  • An Innovative Recuperative Care Program of Medical Respite and Diversion Services for Men and Women
  • A Low-Income Studio Apartment/Housing.
  • Emergency Night Shelters for Single Men and Women
