Target Circle is a loyalty program for Target shoppers (Guests), available nationwide. Target Circle is a way for Target Guests to have an even more rewarding Target run. One benefit of Target Circle is local giving programs where Guests accrue votes that they can cast to help direct Target’s giving.
Enrolling In Target Circle
Guests in participating markets can enroll in the Giving Program for free by signing up at target.com/circle, by downloading the Target App, or via phone number as they check out at their local Target store. After you shop, every time, be sure to cast a vote for UCS!
Giving Program
By participating in Target Circle, Target Guests have access to the Giving Program associated with their preferred zip code as designated in their Target Account settings.
Participating Nonprofits are selected with the help of in/PACT and the GoodCoin Foundation based on criteria including a local presence within the relevant zip codes, good standing with the IRS, and meeting or exceeding Target’s vetting and non-discrimination policies.
In each Giving Program, Target will make a charitable donation to be allocated among nonprofit organizations selected for the Giving Program. Multiple store locations may be tied to a single Giving Program. The Nonprofits, Donation Amount, and Voting Period (defined below) may vary by Giving Program. The allocation of the Donation among the Nonprofits for each Giving Program will be based on the percentage of votes each Nonprofit receives during the applicable voting period (the “ Voting Period ”) for that Giving Program. With respect to each Giving Program, the list of participating Nonprofits, the dates comprising the applicable Voting Period, and the Donation to be divided among the Nonprofits can be seen by logging on t
o and viewing the Target Circle voting screen on the Target App or Website. Each Nonprofit is guaranteed a minimum of $200.00 for participating in a Giving Program.
Earning Votes
To enable voting, Guests must enroll in Target Circle. Guests earn one vote every time they make a purchase at Target, online, and in-store. In-store, a Target Guest may scan her/his Wallet barcode in the Target App at the time of purchase, or scan the barcode on her/his receipt with the Target App within seven (7) days of purchase.
To earn a vote on a Target.com or Target App purchase, a Target guest must have joined Target Circle and be signed into her/his Target.com account when she/he places her/his order. Some purchases are not eligible to accrue votes. See terms and conditions for ineligible purchases.
Casting VotesTo cast votes, a Target guest may log in to her/his Target account and follow the prompts and instructions to vote. Nonprofits will display in a list with each organization’s name, logo, mission, and website link.
All votes associated with a Target Circle account will expire after one year of inactivity (i.e., no Target Circle earning activity) with Target Circle unless otherwise messaged to Target Circle users; votes must be cast before they expire. The Voting Period for a particular Giving Program may end prior to the votes expiring; at such time, the votes would roll over and a Target guest may cast her/his vote(s) in a subsequent Giving Program.
Target’s tally of votes is final. In the event any aspect of Target Circle, including the voting, is disrupted in any way, Target reserves the right to allocate the donation for any affected location in a fair and equitable manner, as determined by Target. All Giving Programs also are subject to overarching Target Circle Terms & Conditions. See terms and conditions of Target Circle here.
