We love and encourage the compassion and generosity of our community; however, we each need to ensure that our love helps those in need to break the painful cycles of addiction and homelessness and provide real opportunity for health, housing, and hope. This is our mission and what the people we serve really need.
Please do not give monetary gifts to panhandlers. You risk the real possibility of hurting more than helping. Instead, volunteer, donate, give to a local charity. Many local nonprofits in #Evansville provide assistance for immediate emergency services and long-term solutions. We need your help to make that lasting difference for everyone.
Let’s work together to make things better in our community so people get the help they need and deserve. Thank you! #CommunityOfCaring #StrongCity #EisforEveryone
